Wordless Wednesday:Handprints

Some houses try to hide the fact that children shelter there,
Ours boasts of it quite openly, the signs are everywhere,
For smears are on the windows, little smudges on the door,
I guess I should apologize for toys strewn on the floor,
But I sat down with the children and we played and laughed and read,
And if the windows do not shine, their eyes will shine instead,
And when at times I'm forced to choose the one job or the other,
I want to be a housewife, but first I'll be a mother.

I love that quote...even though having toys strewn about the house can drive me NUTS at times...it's also such a sweet reminder of the 3 blessings that I have. Thanks for the sweet post! Stopped by from SITS!

Sweet photo. I also love the quote. I only have pet children, but oddly enough I feel the same way. We have pet toys all about and love the evidence of their life in our home.

Happy WW from Sara @ the Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!
