It's CPB....RUN!

Monkey and Baby Bug were chasing each other around the house today. Not that that in itself is anything special-it's pretty much a daily occurrence and not something that would typically capture my attention unless crying or bloodshed was involved. Today however I happened to have a monster headache and they happened to be working themselves into particularly feverish and high pitched squeals, so I stopped them and asked (with more irritation than was probably reasonable)...

Me: Just what is going on here, son?

Monkey(throwing his hands to his face and smiling): RUN MOMMY! Baby Bug is The Orpor-pewtion!

Me: The what?

Monkey: She's the cor-puke-ation Mommy....RUUUUUUUUUUN!

Of course, Monkey tries to go skipping off full of giggles, but I stop him in his tracks.

Me: It's not nice to call names, son.

Monkey: I'm not! Mommy, I'm just pretending.

Me: It's not okay to call names, even if it's just pretend.

Monkey: But Mommy I'm NOT! Baby Bug is the cor-rulation for uplick roadtesting and she's chasing me. See, she's smiling! It's okay!

Me: She's a what now?!

Monkey(running away with Baby Bug hot on his trail now): She's the orpurtation for puplick bro-tasting and she's chasing the viewers like MEEEEEEEEE!

Hubby and I look at each other as it begins to dawn on us.

Me: Did he just say "viewers like me"?

Hubby: I think so.

Me (Snickering): Do you think he means....?

Hubby: He totally does (laughing).

Me: Son, are you running away from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting?

Monkey(giggling hysterically): YEAH Mommy~Look! Here she comes to get the Viewers Like Me! Thank Yooooooooooooooou!

I think we may have to institute a ban on OPB. Still, it was adorable enough to take my mind off my headache while the Tylenol kicked in. The kids give headaches, and the kids take them away....
