Mommy's Fabulous Find Friday-It's New To Me!

Don't you just love old things? Whether they're retro, vintage, or antique I pretty much always love cute things from the past....and old TV is no exception.

Luckily, I have re-discovered the greatest thing ever-Nick at Nite. When I was little, the Nick at Night line up had classics like I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeanie, Gilligan's Island, and Get Smart. I remember growing up watching Lucy do her 'splaining, trying to blink my eyes and nod my head at the same time, pretending to be stranded on an island, and fighting with my sister over who got to be Agent 99-though whoever had to be Maxwell Smart found great consolation in shoe phones.

These great shows are all still available on the wonderful and fabulous TV Land channel, but the Nick at Nite lineup has changed. Now it showcases-get ready-all your favorite 90s and early 2000 shows!

My DVR is now filled up with the nasal fun of The Nanny, the ho-ho grunt of Tim the Tool Man Taylor, the prat falls of Urkel, the hilarious straight talk of George Lopez, and the lovable shrieking chaos of Malcolm in the Middle.

I. Am. In. Love.

These are the shows that I was just a hair too young to watch growing up, I get to discover them all over again and introduce them to our kidlets-just like my Nana introduced me to her favorite shows on Nick at Nite 20 years ago. It's on a little later-usually the line up starts at 8pm-but I highly recommend saving some room on your DVR for some great laughs from these Fabulous (re)Finds!

Nick-at-Nite got me through some rough times in my life, for sure! I am loving reruns of Malcolm, too. We're also digging (in non NAN news) Cheers, Becker and That 70's Show.

I agree - old is fun!

We love The Nanny...and if you haven't seen the movie Beautician and the Beast...you should get it! She's so funny in it. It is one of Manga Dork's faves.

I remember watching The Nanny when it first came on t.v. I haven't really watched much of it when I flip through the channels now, but one show I did watch for a while not too long ago is "Married with Children". I love that show!

I remember when Nick At Night showed the classics like, "Bewitched". I absolutely LOVE Bewitched, and now I can't find a channel that it comes on anymore. TV Land has already fallen in line with the rest of the channels, and started having reality shows and such. Pathetic. I used to watch all of the classic shows on TV Land.

My Dad LOVES Andy Griffith. He has all of the seasons on DVD and I've seen every episode so many times, it makes me sick to watch it anymore...lol

But The Nanny is definitely a GREAT show. I just can't help but feel old when the shows I remember watching when they first came on, are showing up on Nick at Night.
