I Wanna Talk About....Birthdays!

It's time for I Wanna Talk About Me day, courtesy of my friend Lisa, and this week it's all about birthdays! I love birthdays (other people's-happy birthday to Lisa's mom and her husband Wiley!) and getting older (myself)...I just don't like my actual birthdays-they never go well. Still, birthdays in general are worth celebrating, don't you think?



1. How many candles will go on your next birthday cake?
25! I know-milestone birthday. Yay for cheaper insurance! [No making fun of me for being young-I promise I am far more tired and curmudgeonly than most people my age.]

2. Where were you born?
I was actually born in Georgia, but my parents moved to the Great North West when I was a few months old so my home is here.

3. Hey, Baby… what’s your sign?
Scorpio...but really I'm not that mean.

4. If you could get a $100 giftcard to the store of your choice, which store would you choose?
Uh....anywhere that sells kitchen appliances.

5 And what would you buy with that $100?
A blender, a huge frying pan, and a counter top grill (okay, that's probably more than $100 altogether but hey...this is my imaginary gift card).

6. Do you have a party for your birthday? Details!
Never (as an adult). The last birthday party I had was when I turned 16 and all I can say about it is that it sucked. All the ones before it sucked too, so I figure we'll just avoid those like the plague and eat ice cream at home instead.

7. What’s the best birthday you’ve ever had?
My birthdays suck. All of them (see above), however I do enjoy getting older for it's social benefits. Plus it helps make better sense of the times when I yell at the neighbor kids and then turn in for a nice 3pm nap.
